Company History

For more than 50 years, Bristow has provided exceptional transportation, production management, and related services, with a focus on the oil and gas industry. Through hard work and a commitment to excellence, Bristow has expanded into a truly global company.

Bristow began providing helicopter services to the Gulf of Mexico through Air Logistics, which focused on servicing offshore projects in the oil and gas industry. Air Logistics expanded to become one of the largest helicopter transportation providers in North America, and opened an Alaskan division to facilitate oil and gas projects in that area.

Bristow’s investment in the original Bristow Helicopters Ltd. company in the UK helped to globalize the company’s helicopter transportation services – expanding Bristow’s coverage area throughout the North Sea, Europe and other international areas. The company also participates in several military helicopter training contracts, both in the UK and throughout the world, through its ownership in FBH Ltd.

Bristow's acquisition of Helicopter Adventures, Inc., renamed Bristow Academy, a leading flight training provider, is expected to help address the industry's long term pilot needs.
