Installation of Emergency Torch

Operational Safety Requirement

One battery operated emergency torch is installed vertically on the L.H. forward cabin bulkhead panel, (advisory light panel).

The torch is housed in a 16g retention cradle / mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is designed for permanent installation of the torch, eliminating the need to carry or search for the stored torch.

The torch is designed for “emergency use only” and is automatically activated when removed from the bracket and deactivated when the torch is re-installed.

The security shield ensures its availability during an emergency.

The torch uses a long shelf-like alkaline battery unit and has an electronic maintenance circuit with LED indicator to monitor battery voltage and continuity through the torch.
