Airnorth

Bristow Helicopters Australia owns a 100% interest in Airnorth, a regional fixed wing operator based in Darwin, North Territory, Australia. Airnorth provides charter and scheduled domestic services across the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria and internationally to Dili, Timor-Leste. Airnorth maintains a modern jet fleet designed to successfully support the demands of its regional communities, businesses and customers.

Cougar Helicopters

Bristow owns a 40% economic interest in Cougar Helicopters Inc., the largest offshore energy and search and rescue (SAR) helicopter service provider in Atlantic Canada with its main operations and headquarters based out of St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador. Cougar operates a fleet of modern Sikorsky S92 helicopters in both offshore passenger transportation and SAR roles. Besides those roles, Cougar also offers flight dispatching/tracking, helideck services and offshore aerial construction. Cougar Helicopters is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) facility. Its team of maintenance professionals perform comprehensive maintenance services on its fleet of S92 aircraft including structure repairs, component, engine, avionics and airframe line maintenance on a frequently scheduled basis.

Petroleum Air Services

Bristow owns a 25% interest in Petroleum Air Services (PAS), an Egyptian corporation which provides helicopter and fixed-wing transportation to the offshore energy industry and charted spare fixed-wing capacity to tourism operators. The remaining 75% interest in PAS is owned by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation. PAS is not only a certified operator of Helicopters and Fixed Wing aircrafts (AOC), but also a certified repair station under the license of ECAR 145 rendering services to PAS aircraft and third parties under the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA).

Our History

Carl Brady started Era in 1948 and Alan Bristow started Bristow in 1955. Both started with a dream to create vertical lift service companies unlike any other in the world. From a small contract in the emerging oil and gas industry in the Persian Gulf to today’s fleet of approximately 257 aircraft servicing oil and gas, SAR and aircraft support solutions to government and civil organizations, Bristow’s vision is leading the company to new heights.
