Apprentice Jack Moody Receives Scholarship

Bristow Defence Industries (BDI) third-year Apprentice Engineer John "Jack" Moody was awarded the 2018 Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA) Jeppesen Aircraft Maintenance (Avionics) Scholarship. The scholarship, in the amount of AUS$7,500, is awarded to encourage the continuing education of a promising aircraft maintenance engineer who has demonstrated a commitment to the aviation industry. The scholarship is funded by Jeppesen Australia.

The scholarship was presented to Jack during the gala dinner at the RAAA National Convention at the Royal Pines Resort in Queensland. During his acceptance speech, Jack acknowledged the training and support he has received from Bristow and his commitment to using the funds to further his knowledge of the avionics trade during and after his completion of his apprenticeship. Area Manager Australia Daniel Bowden was also in attendance at the gala.

BDI recently celebrated 20 years of contract maintenance and logistics support for a fleet of AS332 Super Puma aircraft operated by the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) at Oakey and on field exercises within Australia.
