Santa departed Darwin on a Brasilia E120 Airnorth aircraft and arrived at Elcho Island airport to a crowd of more than 200 smiling children. During the visit, kids sang Christmas carols, enjoyed warm pancakes, and took photos with Santa.

In Maningrida, Santa visited Indigenous family’s children at the Health Clinic, The Council Office, Barlmarrk Supermarket and the Maningrida Progress Association.

“Airnorth is committed to bringing all communities together, far and wide across Australia and internationally, by delivering a safe and reliable air travel service,” said Airnorth CEO Daniel Bowden. “This annual event is supported by the local communities of the Northern Territory and we would like to thank WINC, and all groups in Elcho Island and Maningrida that offered their services and coordination efforts to make the 2017 Airnorth Santa Run such a great success.”
