Bristow's Cierra Price: 'Never give up'

In January 2019, Bristow received delivery of a Schiebel CAMCOPTER® S-100 system, consisting of two aircraft, a Ground Control Station and engineering and logistic support at Caernarfon airport.

In honor of Black History Month, Bristow is featuring Customer Service Representative Cierra Price from our Houma, Louisiana base in our latest spotlight. Cierra is pictured with her children above, from L-R, Jayden, Ariyahn, Cierra, and Anarie.

Tell us about your family.

I grew up in Raceland, Louisiana. I am the oldest of five children. I have two sisters and two brothers. I am also a mother of two daughters, Anarie and Ariyahn, and one son, Jayden.

Talk about your role as a Customer Service Representative at Bristow and some of the things you might do on a typical day?

I am currently CSR for Terminal A at the Houma Base. I oversee contracts for Beacon and Equinor daily. I answer any questions or concerns that the customer may have. I also am the direct connect between the customer and their pilots. I ensure that manifests are prepared properly, and flights depart on time.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from a colleague or mentor?

Never fail to keep trying. Just because you failed once or twice doesn't mean you should give up. Keep giving your all until you see the results for that which you are striving.

What Black role models inspire you and why?

My mom. She was a pillar of strength. She taught me to believe in myself, and to stand up for the things I believed in. She always let us know that no matter how bad a situation may seem, we should always look at the bright side. Her selflessness, her love, and who she was as a person molded me into who I am today.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

Black History Month to me is a time to celebrate and honor the legacies and impacts made by key people from our past. It is a time to remember and reflect on how far we have come as a whole, and how far we can go.

What significant events in Black history do you particularly connect with? Why?

Kamala Harris elected as Vice President is significant to me. Not only is she the first woman ever elected to such a high-ranking position, but she is also of African American descent. Her achievements give hope to women and girls across the world that anything is possible if you put in the work and dedication required.
