The Company conducts business in one segment: aviation services. The aviation services global operations include four regions as follows: Europe Caspian, Africa, Americas and Asia Pacific. The Europe Caspian region comprises all of the Company’s operations and affiliates in Europe and Central Asia, including Norway, the U.K. and Turkmenistan. The Africa region comprises all of the Company’s operations and affiliates on the African continent, including Nigeria and Egypt. The Americas region comprises all of the Company’s operations and affiliates in North America and South America, including Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The Asia Pacific region comprises all of the Company’s operations and affiliates in Australia and Southeast Asia. Prior to the sale of BHLL and Aviashelf during the three months ended June 30, 2019 (Predecessor), the Company had operations in Sakhalin, Russia which is included in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to the sale of Eastern Airways on May 10, 2019 (Predecessor), the Company had fixed wing operations in the Europe Caspian region.
The following tables show region information reconciled to consolidated totals, and prepared on the same basis as the Company’s condensed consolidated financial statements (in thousands):

Includes $6.8 million and $7.8 million of construction in progress within property and equipment on the Company’s condensed consolidated balance sheets as of June 30 and March 31, 2020 (Successor) , respectively, which primarily represents aircraft modifications and other miscellaneous equipment, tooling and building improvements currently in progress.

Reportable segments include those that meet any of the following quantitative thresholds a) it's reported revenue, including sales to external customers and intersegment sales or transfers is 10 percent or more of the combined revenue, internal and external, of all operating segments b) the absolute amount of its reported profit or loss is 10 percent or more of the greater, in absolute amount of 1) the combined reported profit of all operating segments that did not report a loss or 2) the combined reported loss of all operating segments that did report a loss c) its assets are 10 percent or more of the combined assets of all operating segments.
